Dena’ina Health and Wellness Center

This new healthcare clinic provides essential medical services to the 3,000 residents of the Kenaitze Indian Tribe on the central Kenai Peninsula. The project’s priorities included incorporating state-of-the-art medical technologies, meeting program requirements within space and budget constraints, achieving 30% energy savings over the baseline ASHRAE 90.1 design standard, attaining LEED Silver certification, and creating a welcoming gathering place for the community—one that fosters, nurtures, and celebrates Alaska Native identity.
